What is iLabMD?
iLabMD is a telemedicine clinic founded by a physician and dedicated to functional medicine approach. It is a part of Mindful Medical Care PC, our clinic in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Who can use iLabMD services?
Our site is for the residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont, reflecting the states where our providers are licensed. We are planning to expand to more states in the future.
These services are for adults who are at least 18 years of age. We do not see children.
Can iLabMD guarantee that my medical issue will be cured?
While we strive for the best possible outcomes, it is important to know that results vary for each individual. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care in our recommendations for testing, and treatment, including lifestyle changes and supplements.
Just like in conventional medicine approach, there is, unfortunately, a never guaranteed result of a complete cure or improvement.
What happens after I book my initial consultation?
You will be prompted to pay the consultation fee of $385 and you will be prompted to make an account in our HIPAA protected online platform so that you can self-schedule an appointment.
All our visits are televisits via HIPAA protected zoom link. We use a platform called GetHealthie.com (link). Although it is helpful to download GetHealthie app (link), it is not necessary. The platform can be accessed from desktops, laptops, smart phones and tablets. Please have your camera and microphone on for televisits.
Please note that you need to make an account to access this HIPAA protected platform.
What can I learn during my 15 min consultation with the physician?
The purpose of our 15-min consultation is to answer any questions regarding functional medicine approach and our clinic. It is not to be used for an in-depth medical intake / review / recommendation. The fee for this consultation will be deducted from the future purchase of a TEST PACKAGE or INITIAL CONSULTATION.
Can I submit my medical records for an iLab provider to review?
It is highly recommended that you submit your previous pertinent lab results through our HIPAA protected platform GetHealthie.com prior to your initial consultation. You will be prompted to make an account and fill out both clinical (medications, allergies, etc) and non-clinical (consents, privacy policy) forms. After you have registered, please send your medical paperwork via Healthie only. Please do not use any other emails to send your private medical information to.
What if I am interested in a specific test, and want to forgo the initial consultation?
You may order one of our featured TEST packages. All our packages come with a 60-min post-test consultation / results review with our board-certified physicians.
How do I get the test kit?
We use CLIA-certified laboratories through our partner, RUPA HEALTH. Once you purchase a test, you will get an email from RUPA HEALTH within 12-24 hours confirming the shipment of the test kit.
As our partner, RUPA HEALTH, provides customer support if you have any questions pertaining to the test, how to do it, where to ship it, etc.
Do you have other tests, aside from the ones that are featured in your packages?
We have access to hundreds of labs. Please contact us at info@ilabmd.com if you are interested in a specific test.
Do I need a blood draw for the test?
All the tests that we feature in our TEST packages do not require blood draw. They require a blood spot fingerstick or urine or stool samples.
However, we have access to hundredths of labs (not included in our featured test packages), and some of them require a blood draw. RUPA HEALTH finds a phlebotomist near you or arranges a mobile phlebotomy. There is a separate charge ($30-100) per phlebotomy visit depending on location.
How long do lab results take?
Depending on the type and complexity of the lab test, the results typically take 2-4 weeks. When you are purchasing a test package, the system will not let you book a post-test consultation. Once your results are in, you will receive an email with a link to book a post-test 60-min review consultation with our physician.
What happens after I receive my lab results?
We include a post-test consultation for every test we offer. We base our medical recommendations, including supplements and lifestyle changes, based on your medical history and test results.
Do I need a follow-up visit after the initial consultation?
Since every treatment is individualized, the number of subsequent sessions varies, as well as the interval in between them. In general, based on a functional medicine approach, we provide recommendations, but our patients are the ones to decide whether to follow them. During the initial session, the number of follow-up sessions and their frequency is decided mutually by the patient and the provider.
Payments and insurances
We are happy to provide you with a superbill for our services. While some of our labs are partially covered by Medicare, most of them are not. We do not guarantee reimbursement, and we do not work with insurance companies.
The client is responsible for all payments for consultation and testing (most of them are bundled) at the time of purchase.
The fee for a 60 min consultation with our board-certified physician is $385, and for a 30 min follow-up session is $250
The package of 4 follow-up sessions is discounted at $900.
All our Test Packages comprise of the cost of the test and the physician’s hourly fee.
Supplements
We have partnered with Fullscript, a high-quality online supplement dispensary, to be able to provide discounts to our patients. You will be prompted to create an account to be able to enjoy an extensive catalog of the supplements by various companies.
Privacy Policy / HIPAA
All patient information, including zoom powered televisits are communicated through Healthie, an online HIPAA compliant platform for medical providers.
Please get acquainted with our HIPAA/ Privacy Policy Agreement. You will also be prompted to read and acknowledge it while registering in Healthie.
